Our church was birthed on July 17, 2016 in Toledo, OH under the leadership of Pastor Jay L. Mixon. Our vision is is to create a relationship with God who will develop, prepare, and guide our souls as a place of worship to impact the world. We have as strong love for the unity of family. Pastor Jay L. Mixon, Sr is the founder of Wake Up and Worship Ministries Toledo, OH. Strength, valor, humility, kindness, father, and loving husband are just a few words that describe this man of God. God's grace and mercy pulled him from the hands of the enemy and he has been a warrior for Christ ever since.
He is the founder of the powerful men's ministry, Men Let's Talk Forum.
He has a Bachelor's of Science in Pastoral Leadership and Counseling. He is recognized as pastor of Wake Up and Worship Ministries through the Church of God in Christ under the Michigan Southwest Fifth Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Don W. Shelby, Jr.
He is married to his loving wife, First Lady Shani Mixon and the father of 4 sons and six daughters.

Toledo is located in northwest Ohio at the western end of Lake Erie. Our church is located at the corner of Dorr and Upton. Parking is in the rear of the church.
First Lady Shani J. Mixon
Lady Shani Mixon is the co founder of Wake Up and Worship Ministries. She is a visionary, teacher, mentor, caretaker, and most importantly a follower of Christ. It is First Lady’s Mixon desire to kingdom build and help guide souls to Christ by building a strong relationship with God. She is the founder of the Women of Virtue Ministry of Wake Up and Worship Ministries and encourages women to build a virtuous spirit through love, sisterhood, casting vision, and defining purpose.
She is also a Christian fiction author who has written two books, Cracks in Her Foundation and Steal. Kill. Destroy. She accepts the gift of writing to express real world experiences, challenges, and successes in the form of testimonies of the goodness of God.
